ENGLISH:

My work is intertwined with my personal life and lived through. I show myself and I find myself in it.

I start from an intuitive idea and execute it without the result being certain.

In my work I investigate the scope of myself, of a human being: physical, mental and intergenerational. With my body, family and memories I shape my art differently each time.

For this I use different physical materials and I work in acrylic and oil paint, graphite and ink. Especially in the colors black, gray, white and red.

Movement and repetition are characteristic of my style and symbolize the rhythm of growth and time. As a pattern, as a mantra, as a chastisement. Out of conviction, out of habit, out of strength.

DUTCH:

Mijn werk is verweven met mijn persoonlijk leven en doorleefd. Ik laat mezelf zien en ik vind mezelf erin terug.

Ik vertrek vanuit een intuïtief idee en voer het uit zonder dat het resultaat vaststaat. 

In mijn werk onderzoek ik de reikwijdte van mijzelf, van een mens: lichamelijk, geestelijk en intergenerationeel. Met mijn lijf, familie en herinneringen geef ik mijn kunst telkens anders vorm.

Hiervoor gebruik ik verschillende fysieke materialen en werk ik in acryl- en olieverf, grafiet en inkt. Vooral in de kleuren zwart, grijs, wit en rood.

Beweging en herhaling zijn kenmerkend voor mijn stijl en symboliseren het ritme van groei en tijd. Als patroon, als mantra, als kastijding. Uit overtuiging, uit gewoonte, uit kracht.
